October 2015 Blood Drive at Lankenau Medical Center
Our family’s most heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who supported the 8th Annual Carol H. Axelrod Memorial Blood Drive at Lankenau Medical Center in October 2015! Thanks to your generosity, we collected 257 units of blood, making this our most productive drive ever. Those 257 units will be used to help as many as 771 people receive the lifesaving transfusions they need…and nearly 800 families will be touched by the generosity of the donors at this blood drive!
To our family, every blood drive is a celebration of Carol’s legacy, but there was even more to celebrate during this drive—including the collection of our 2,000th cumulative unit and the 30-gallon (240 lifetime units) milestone achieved by one of our loyal blood donors!
We know that everyone went out of their way to donate blood or to contribute support, food, or drawing prizes to help make the blood drive special. Thank you so much for your time, your patience, and your energy. We can try to get out the word about the importance of blood donation, but we couldn’t hold a successful blood drive without all of you!
Finally, we are very pleased to have had the opportunity to help raise awareness and provide support for Maya Rigler’s Virtual Alex’s Lemonade Stand and Red Paw Emergency Relief Team.
Our next drive will take place in Radnor Township on May 10, 2016. We hope to see you then! Stay tuned for updates and registration information.
Thank you again for all of your help and support!
Thank you to all of the extremely generous businesses and organizations that supported the October 2015 blood drive!
Special thanks also go to the numerous friends and family members whose contributions of time, ideas, drawing prizes, and support provided an enormous boost to our efforts. The blood drive could not have been successful without all of them!
