We are heading toward our next big milestone—saving as many as 10,000 lives since 2008! We are working toward collecting a total of 522 units of blood at our blood drives in May, July, and October 2017. If we can reach that goal, we will have collected enough blood to have helped as many as 10,000 patients spend more time with their families! Would you like to help? Schedule your appointment to join us in May, and mark your calendar for our drives on July 12 (in Lansdale) and October 9 & 10 (at Lankenau Medical Center)!

Registration is now available for our spring blood drive, which will take place on May 9, 2017 at the Radnor Township Municipal Building in Wayne, PA.

We look forward to seeing you at our 6th annual blood drive in Radnor Township! Everyone who comes to donate will receive a gift bag, special refreshments, and free entry into prize drawings. We have other special surprises planned as well!

Please note: In order to be eligible to donate blood on May 9, your last prior whole blood donation must have been made no later than March 14, 2017. If your last donation was a power red (double red cell) donation, it must have been made no later than January 17. This means that if you donated whole blood with us on February 24, you WILL BE ELIGIBLE to donate with us again on May 9. Our family’s May 2017 Community CHAllenge will support two key community institutions:

Radnor Fire Company: Since 1906, Radnor Fire Company has been protecting the lives and property of the residents, visitors, and businesses of Radnor and Tredyffrin Townships and surrounding communities. The generosity of the community plays a vital role in keeping fire company operations running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Radnor Memorial Library: Often called the “front porch” of the community, Radnor Memorial Library is currently undergoing a renovation and expansion that will allow it to remain a key institution for cultural and intellectual enrichment and lifelong learning well into the future.

The Carol H. Axelrod Memorial Blood Drive was created as a way of “giving back” to the blood-donor community that made it possible for Carol to receive all of the blood and platelet transfusion she needed during her treatment for cancer. Our mission is to help other patients and their families spend more time together by doing our part to ensure that blood products are always available for those who need them. Our goal is to help the blood donors at our drives have an enjoyable and positive donation experience.
