October 2013 Blood Drive at Lankenau Medical Center

Many, many thanks to everyone who supported the sixth annual Carol H. Axelrod Memorial Blood Drive at Lankenau Medical Center! We are very excited to report that over the two days of the drive, 226 units of blood were collected. Those 226 units were able to help as many as 678 people receive the lifesaving transfusions they needed...and 678 families were touched by your generosity.

This blood drive represented a milestone, as we collected our 1,000th unit of blood at Lankenau. It is hard to believe that since 2008, the blood drives in Carol’s memory at Lankenau Medical Center have collected enough blood to help more than 3,000 people. We are so grateful to everyone who has helped us create this legacy! Whether you donated blood, volunteered your time, contributed food or a drawing prize, or helped us spread the word about the drive, you were an integral part of making this year’s blood drive successful. Please know that in supporting the blood drive, you truly have helped to change someone's life.

Thank you again for all of your help and support!
