May 2014 Blood Drive in Radnor Township, PA

Huge thanks to everyone who participated in our blood drive at the Radnor Township Building on May 13! We had some unexpected surprises during the day, including a road closure midway through the morning, but we still welcomed more donors at this location than ever before. Together, we helped the American Red Cross collect enough blood to help more than 350 people who will require lifesaving transfusions in the days and weeks ahead.

We are also pleased that the blood drive was able to help raise awareness and support for two important Radnor-based organizations. The Women’s Resource Center offers numerous services to support women, strengthen families, and build communities. Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals is a no-kill animal shelter that works to find permanent homes for cats and dogs.

We know that many people went out of their way (quite literally, in some cases!) to donate blood or to contribute time, assistance, food, and drawing prizes to help make the blood drive special. We are so appreciative of everyone. To our family, every blood drive is a celebration of Carol’s legacy, and we are happy that so many community members were able to share the celebration with us on May 13 in Radnor Township.

Thank you to all of the extremely generous businesses and organizations that supported the May 2014              blood drive!

Special thanks also go to the numerous friends and family members whose contributions of time, ideas, drawing prizes, and support provided an enormous boost to our efforts. The blood drive could not have been successful without all of them!
