March 2019 Blood Drive at The Shipley School
Many, many thanks to everyone who attended our blood drive at The Shipley School last Friday! We are happy to say that, in spite of the wintry weather, we collected 117 units of blood—enough to help nearly 300 people in the days and weeks ahead. We are so grateful to all of you for braving challenging weather conditions and related changes in your schedules to help save lives!
Severe weather over the past few weeks has caused the cancellation of numerous blood drives and has led to a critical blood shortage in our area. We are grateful that, with your help, we could play a small part in ensuring that hospitals will be able to provide transfusions to those who need them in the days and weeks ahead.
We are looking forward to warmer weather and to our next blood drive, which will take place on May 7 at the Radnor Township Municipal Building in Wayne. We hope to see you there. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to saving lives!
Thank you to the extremely generous businesses and organizations that supported the March 2019 blood drive!
Special thanks also go to the numerous friends and family members whose contributions of time, ideas, and support provided an enormous boost to our efforts. The blood drive could not have been successful without all of them!
