July 2019 Blood Drive in Lansdale, PA
Thank you for supporting the Carol H. Axelrod Memorial Blood Drive at the Reserve at Gwynedd on July 17!
We were privileged to have a wonderful turnout, and we are thrilled to announce that 126 units of blood were collected—our highest total yet at this location! This means that as many as 378 patients will be able to receive lifesaving transfusions in the days and weeks ahead.
The past few weeks have been a particularly difficult period for blood collection, and the American Red Cross is currently facing an emergency blood shortage. Thanks to you, more patients and their families will be able to spend another day together during this very challenging time.
We are also pleased that this blood drive was able to raise support and awareness for NAMI Montgomery County PA and Greater Harleysville and North Penn Senior Services, and for the important work that both of these organizations are doing in the community.
Whether you donated blood, volunteered your time, provided food or drawing prizes, assisted with logistics, or helped us spread the word and recruit blood donors, you played an integral role in the blood drive’s outcome, and we are so grateful to you. Many, many thanks to Marc and Elyse Satalof for their efforts, and to everyone at the Reserve at Gwynedd for making such a wonderful space available for the blood donors!
