July 2014 Blood Drive in Lansdale, PA

We are so happy to report that the blood drive at the Reserve at Gwynedd on July 16 was an enormous success! Thanks to so many caring and enthusiastic blood donors, we far surpassed our goal of 46 units and collected a whopping 58 units of blood! Shortages of blood products often occur during the summer months, when fewer blood drives are held and regular donors go on vacation. Our donors helped the American Red Cross collect enough blood to help more than 170 people who will require lifesaving blood transfusions in the days and weeks ahead.

We are also very pleased that the blood drive was able to help raise awareness and support for Laurel House, a Montgomery County organization that provides support and services for families and individuals who are affected by domestic violence.

We know that many people went out of their way to donate blood or to contribute time, assistance, food, or drawing prizes to help make the blood drive special. We are so appreciative of all of you. As we have said before, we feel that every blood drive is a celebration of Carol’s legacy, and we are happy that so donors were able to share the celebration with us on July 16 in Lansdale.

Thank you to all of the extremely generous businesses and organizations that supported the                               July 2014 blood drive!

Special thanks also go to the numerous friends and family members whose contributions of time, ideas, drawing prizes, and support provided an enormous boost to our efforts. The blood drive could not have been successful without all of them!
