February 2017 Blood Drive at The Shipley School

Our family extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported the Carol H. Axelrod Memorial Blood Drive at The Shipley School! Thanks to so many donors and volunteers, the drive far surpassed the goal that the Red Cross had set for it (111 units). We are thrilled to announce that 130 units of lifesaving blood were donated, meaning that as many as 390 patients will be able to receive transfusions in the days and weeks ahead. Your generosity and commitment have made it possible for almost 400 patients to spend more time with their loved ones!

It was wonderful to see so many students—the next generation of blood donors—get involved with the blood drive by volunteering or donating. Our first winter blood drive was a true collaborative effort!

Once again, we extend our thanks to all of you for your help and your commitment to saving lives this winter!

Thank you to all of the extremely generous businesses and organizations that supported the                         February 2017 blood drive!

Special thanks also go to the numerous friends and family members whose contributions of time, ideas, and support provided an enormous boost to our efforts. The blood drive could not have been successful without all of them!
