October 2016 Blood Drive at Lankenau Medical Center
Our family’s heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who supported the 9th Annual Carol H. Axelrod Memorial Blood Drive at Lankenau Medical Center on October 19 and 20! We are happy to announce that 239 units were collected at the drive, meaning that as many as 717 patients will be able to receive the lifesaving transfusions they need. Your generosity and commitment have made it possible for more than 700 patients to spend more time with their families!
We are also pleased that the drive was able to raise awareness and support for the Ardmore Avenue Community Center and Main Line Meals on Wheels, two organizations that are doing very important work in the community.
Blood products must be on the shelves, and ready to use, before they are needed—and the need is constant. We hope that you will continue to donate blood throughout the winter months, when shortages often occur.
Thank you again for your help, your support, and your commitment to saving lives!
Thank you to all of the extremely generous businesses and organizations that supported the October 2016 blood drive!
Special thanks also go to the numerous friends and family members whose contributions of time, ideas, drawing prizes, and support provided an enormous boost to our efforts. The blood drive could not have been successful without all of them!
