July 2018 Blood Drive in Lansdale, PA
Thank you for supporting the Carol H. Axelrod Memorial Blood Drive at the Reserve at Gwynedd on July 11!
We were privileged to have a wonderful turnout, and we are thrilled to announce that 114 units of blood were collected! This means that as many as 342 patients will be able to receive lifesaving transfusions in the days and weeks ahead.
The past few weeks have been a particularly difficult period for blood collection, and the American Red Cross is currently facing an emergency blood shortage. Thanks to you, more patients and their families will be able to spend another day together during this very challenging time.
We are also pleased that this blood drive was able to raise support and awareness for Indian Creek Foundation and Inter-Faith Housing Alliance, and for the important work that both of these organizations are doing in the community.
Whether you donated blood, volunteered your time, provided food or drawing prizes, assisted with logistics, or helped us spread the word and recruit blood donors, you played an integral role in the blood drive’s outcome, and we are so grateful to you.
Again, our family extends our most heartfelt thanks for your support and for your commitment to saving lives!
